[For Hannibal] Alliance of Fire

Renly Baratheon was dead, leaving his claim to the throne empty and his wife Margaery Tyrell a widow. Roose Bolton, of course, could spy an opportunity a mile away. He sent a raven to Highgarden, to Lord Mace Tyrell. Roose proposed that his youngest son and only legitimate heir be married to Margaery. Mace agreed, rather quickly as well - likely out of fear for the Bolton name.

But of course, Olenna Tyrell wasn't about to let that agreement happen. At least not on any terms but her own. So the agreement was made, but a time for delivering her to Winterfell had not been determined, and Olenna was not about to agree to one.

Ramsay Snow, wanting to be useful to his father and acknowledged as a true Bolton, decided to take action on his own. He took a small band of Bolton men and rode to Highgarden - he knew Margaery was there, after her day-long marriage to the late King Joffrey had ended. He kidnapped the Tyrell heiress and rode back to Winterfell. When he arrived, he dragged Margaery in with no amount of mercy or delicacy. He found his half-brother and father in a sitting room going over charts and battle strategies. Margaery, clad in a light dress with a keyhole opening at the front showing her cleavage and wrapping around her lower back, showing off the curves of her back and the lean muscle beneath her skin. Her skin was cold and covered in goosebumps, her lips slightly dark and a light shade of blue. But all the fire and anger was in Margaery's eyes. She wrenched herself free of Ramsay's grip and pulled her lips back to bare her teeth.

"Unhand me, mongrel!" she hissed.

"Dear father, brother - see what I've brought? We'll not have the Tyrells welching on their agreement any longer," Ramsay grinned. "The flower is a little frosty, but only because she did not appreciate my generosity of allowing her to ride in the carriage."

"What I did not appreciate was a bastard snatching me from my ancestral home and dragging me with no proper clothes into the North," Margaery snapped.

She so badly wanted to shift towards the fire, but she was bound and determined to stand tall and tough. Ramsay obviously thought her weak, she would prove him wrong.

Hannibal smirked at her response and did not even finch at her playful smack. "I am the King of the seven kingdoms. I know and see everything." He teased playfully as he kissed over the end of her nose.

Margaery laughed and kissed him playfully before leaning back against the bed. "Crafty, you are indeed cunning, my love." She kissed him deep and pressed her body against his.

Hannibal smirked as he kissed her tenderly. "Indeed I am." He agreed as he held her close. "Now, would you like to tell them or shall I?" He asked.

Margaery kissed him deep and pulled away from him to straighten her gown. "Let's see if they're awake."

She moved from the bed to their crib. Reina and Rhys were awake but hadn't sat up just yet. Reina smiled when she saw her mother.

"Mama!" Reina reached up.

"Hello my darling," Margaery smiled and reached down to pick her up, leaving Rhys for Hannibal.

Hannibal smiled as he lifted his son. "You two are up early. You did good waiting so quietly." He praised them.

Margaery rocked Reina in her arms and sat down upon the bed.

"All done play, Papa?" Reina asked.

"For now, love," Margaery kissed Reina's temple. "We have some news, my sweet one. Tell me, do you like being a sister?"

"Yes mama!" Reina grinned.

"And you, my Rhys? Do you like being a brother?" She asked her son.

Rhys smiled and sat up tall proudly. "Yes Mama." He said. He sat even taller next to Hannibal. "Big brother." He said proudly.

Hannibal looked down at his son. "Big brother? Why do you say that?"

Rhys chuckled as he pointed to Margaery's stomach. "Brother!"

Reina pouted and shook her head. "No, sister!" She said.

Margaery's eyes widened. She hasn't breathed a word about her condition to anyone. Only the Maester knew, and the twins hadn't been with her when she'd give to see him. She looked to Hannibal, and back to Rhys.

"Sweetheart, how did you know?" She asked.

Reina buried her face against Margaery's chest, then peeked down at her belly and pointed again. "Hi baby!"

Rhys just giggled and shook his head.

Hannibal was a bit surprised as well. He chuckled after a moment though. "I have heard rumors that young children know when they are going to have another sibling." He said. He found it interesting that they both claimed a different gender for their future sibling.

Margaery was stunned. But she smiled abs leaned in to kiss Rhys' head. "So clever, my darling children." She kissed her daughter in turn. "A brother or a sister? We'll have to see."

"Sister, mama!" Reina proclaimed.

Hannibal nodded in agreement that he was curious how they knew as well. Rhys shook his head again. He was quite adamant that it would be another boy. "We will see in time." He said proudly.

Margaery nuzzled Reina's head and chuckled at how stubborn their children were. Just like their father.

There came a knock at the door, and a guard announced the arrival of a caravan at King's a landing, bearing the Tyrell golden rose. Olenna had sent for them with some urgency, stating that they should be there to receive the caravan.

Margaery smiled and dismissed the guard. She smirked at Hannibal and looked to the twins. "Do you two want to see great-grandmother? You must promise not to tell about the new baby."

"Shhhhh!" Reina brought a finger to her lips.

Hannibal nodded before sending the guard off. He stood and smiled to his children as they both agreed to keep the secret. He helped them to get dressed so that Margaery could change into something less see through. He would add his house ring and change into his dark red leathers with hints of gold along the seams.

Soon the four of them were making their way down to greet the caravan. They were waiting at the edge of the drawbridge for the caravan. Hannibal was curious of what Oleanna would say about the broken Lannister's mounted on the top of the wall.

Margaery's maids came and dressed her in a dark red gown with a dark leather corset. They went down to join Olenna at the drawbridge. Margaery kissed her grandmother before the older woman kissed the grandchildren.

"Glad you could join us," Olenna smiled as the guards unloaded the main coach of the caravan. "I've a gift for you, in honor of your coronation."

Hannibal chuckled as he greeted her warmly. "I am sorry to hear you had wait. My wife required an emergency audience with me this morning." He said with a twinkle in his eyes. He watched as the caravan was being unloaded and gave a respectful nod. "Thank tiu for your generosity." He said.

Margaery shot Hannibal a sharp look, but rolled her eyes and smiled.

"Don't thank me until you see it," Olenna replied.

"Did you have much trouble finding someone to retrieve them, grandmother?" Margaery asked.

"Not with the right amount of gold," Olenna replied.

"You're certain they're authentic?" Margaery asked.

"I am," Olenna smiled.

Hannibal noted hints from the two women, but would save his guess for later. "Why don't we go to the throne room to view this generous gift of yours then." He suggested with an easy smile. He was curious as to her motivations behind this gift. The Queen of Thorns was no fool, there was a purpose behind whatever his gift was.

Margaery nodded in agreement and took Hannibal's arm. Olenna took young Reina in her arms and carried her granddaughter to the throne room. She whispered to the little girl as she had whispered to Margaery in her youth. The Tyrells had strong women, and she was the next generation who would continue that legacy. Reina liked when her great-grandmother doted on her like that.

Once Margaery and Hannibal settled in the throne room, guards brought a great box to the center of the room. Margaery smiled to Hannibal and pointed. "Go on love."

"Big box, Papa!" Rhys proclaimed.

Inside the box Hannibal would find three great dragon eggs. One a dark blue with metallic gold veins, one white with bronze and red flecks, and the third dark royal purple.

Hannibal walked with his son and watched as the box was opened. He smiled as he inspected the eggs. He took his son closer to look at the eggs. "This is indeed a kingly gift. Thank you." He said as he looked to Margaery. "Now we do not have to get horses for our children." He said. He then looked to his son.

"One of these will be yours son, which one would you like?" Rhys looked at the eggs before turning to his sister. "Sister first!" He declared. Hannibal smiled proudly.

He turned to Reina, "Which one would you like my little Princess?" He asked her.

Reina smiled and toddled closer, Margaery close behind. She sucked her thumb as she looked at the eggs, considering the pretty colors before her. Finally she pointed to the dark purple egg and Margaery smiled.

"Is that the one you want, sweetheart?" Margaery asked.

Reina shook her head and pointed to Margaery. "For Mama."

Margaery was surprised, and smiled down to her baby. She kissed Reina's cheek and smiled. "Thank you, little love. It's perfect. The purple is for Mama, then."

Rhys smiled and clapped his hands at his sisters answer. "Your turn sister!" He cheered happily. Hannibal chuckled at his children's generosity and humbleness. "Go ahead Reina, pick blue or white." He said.

Reina continued sucking her thumb, then pointed to the white egg. Margaery smiled and kissed her cheek again. "Rhys, you like blue?" She asked, willing to switch if he wanted purple.

Hannibal smiled at the choice as he looked to his son. "Rhys clapped his hands together in excitement. "Blue, blue!" He said in excitement. Hannibal chuckled as he nodded his head in agreement. "Well done. Now the choices have been made." He said happily.

Margaery kissed the tops of their heads and whispered to them. "Thank your great-grandmother."

"Thank you great-gramma!" The twins cheered in unison.

Olenna chuckled and nodded her head. Margaery again whispered to the twins. "Shall we tell her the good news?"

Both of the twins nodded excitedly before looking at Oleanna. "We have a surprise for you Meme!" Rhys declared in excitement.

Hannibal moved to slip his arm around Margaery's waist as he kissed her temple tenderly. They would allow their children to make this announcement. He spotted Willas entering slowly and knew he would hear the news as well.
