[For Hannibal] Alliance of Fire

Renly Baratheon was dead, leaving his claim to the throne empty and his wife Margaery Tyrell a widow. Roose Bolton, of course, could spy an opportunity a mile away. He sent a raven to Highgarden, to Lord Mace Tyrell. Roose proposed that his youngest son and only legitimate heir be married to Margaery. Mace agreed, rather quickly as well - likely out of fear for the Bolton name.

But of course, Olenna Tyrell wasn't about to let that agreement happen. At least not on any terms but her own. So the agreement was made, but a time for delivering her to Winterfell had not been determined, and Olenna was not about to agree to one.

Ramsay Snow, wanting to be useful to his father and acknowledged as a true Bolton, decided to take action on his own. He took a small band of Bolton men and rode to Highgarden - he knew Margaery was there, after her day-long marriage to the late King Joffrey had ended. He kidnapped the Tyrell heiress and rode back to Winterfell. When he arrived, he dragged Margaery in with no amount of mercy or delicacy. He found his half-brother and father in a sitting room going over charts and battle strategies. Margaery, clad in a light dress with a keyhole opening at the front showing her cleavage and wrapping around her lower back, showing off the curves of her back and the lean muscle beneath her skin. Her skin was cold and covered in goosebumps, her lips slightly dark and a light shade of blue. But all the fire and anger was in Margaery's eyes. She wrenched herself free of Ramsay's grip and pulled her lips back to bare her teeth.

"Unhand me, mongrel!" she hissed.

"Dear father, brother - see what I've brought? We'll not have the Tyrells welching on their agreement any longer," Ramsay grinned. "The flower is a little frosty, but only because she did not appreciate my generosity of allowing her to ride in the carriage."

"What I did not appreciate was a bastard snatching me from my ancestral home and dragging me with no proper clothes into the North," Margaery snapped.

She so badly wanted to shift towards the fire, but she was bound and determined to stand tall and tough. Ramsay obviously thought her weak, she would prove him wrong.

Margaery gasped and cried out loud as her contractions began in earnest. Pain groped her core and made her entire body quake. The Maester instructed her, and she pushed as with the first time.

Only the baby didn't come.

Margaery began to breathe heavily and panic. She looked to Hannibal and began to cry. The Maester told them both that the cord was wraps around the baby's neck, he could feel it. He would have to reach inside carefully and dislodge the cord before it strangled the baby.

Hannibal was frowning slightly when nothing seemed to be happening. He kissed her temple and quickly moved to where the Maester was. He would not allow anyone else to touch the inside of his wife. His eyes focused on hers, "Stay focused on me and breathe. I need you to stay relaxed." He said calmly and lowly. He carefully pressed his fingers to her very wide entrance. He reached in to rub circles around her clit to try and lessen her pain a bit of possible. He felt the cord and quickly moved it out of the way. He slid his hand out and felt their child's head following quickly after. "Push!" He said as he waited to catch their child.

Margaery cried out again when he moved, fearful of having the birth of their child on her own. But she felt a little better when she felt his hand move, though it hurt when he handled the cord to free the baby.

But she heard him yell the order, and she pushed again. Soon enough, their third child, their second son, was born.

Hannibal cut and tied the cord himself. The midwives worked quickly to clean Margaery up as Hannibal worked on cleaning up their son and assisting with the measurements quickly. He carried their son over to Margaery and smiled as he slid an arm around her shoulders and kissed her temple tenderly. "Well done, we have another son." He said with pride.

He moved their son so that she could see him. The child opened his eyes to look upon his mother. Hannibal smiled as he looked down at his son. His smile grew wider as he kissed her temple tenderly. He then looked to the Maester, "His name is Aenar Bolton." He said. Those eyes were evidence of the bloodline Margaery had discovered.

Roose had shifted to the bed and was currently perched on Hannibal's shoulder. He was watching Aenar with curiosity.

Margaery breathed heavily for several minutes. She recovered slowly and looked up when Hannibal announced that they'd had another son. She took him in her arms and smiled broadly and kissed over him. "Oh my little one...I'm so happy to see you!"

When he opened his eyes, she marveled at the purple eyes that stared at her. Margaery looked to Hannibal in shock. But this confirmed, surely, that he was indeed of the Targaryen line.

When Roose appeared, Margaery smiled and held the baby so he could see. "See Roose? See your boy?"

Hannibal chuckled as young Aenar looked up at Margaery and smiled as he reached up to touch her face. He giggled and snuggled into her arms. Hannibal shifted closer and he titled his head curiously. He reached out and gave a slight tug on the short beard that had begun to grow on Hannibal's chin before curling into Margaery again.

Roose waited before sniffing at the wiggling pink thing. Aenar looked at the dragon before laughing and clapping his hands together in excitement.

Margaery smiled and nuzzled against Aenar's little hands when he touched her. "Such a big name for a little one," she chuckled. When he tugged Hannibal's beard, she laughed and rubbed her fingers over his short beard. "Mmmm, you should keep your beard this short. I enjoy the scratch of it...particularly against my thighs."

She cuddled their baby closer and kissed his forehead. "Would you go and fetch our other children, love? Let them meet their new brother."

Hannibal chuckled at her words before sending the staff out and telling Roose to fly out and bring the others. "Would you enjoy it if I grew it longer?" He asked out of curiosity.

Roose flew out, a little wobbly still, but he did well enough. Margaery held their son up and kissed over his forehead once again. She smirked up at Hannibal and kissed over his jaw. "Hmmm...once more," she kissed his jaw again. "Hmmm. No, I like this length. My husband is a king, not a Wildling, after all."

The governess returned with the twins, who at the sight of the baby, cried out in delight.

"Baby!!" Rhys exclaimed.

"Sister!!" Reina echoed.

The governess brought the twins and set them carefully in the bed, then left to give them privacy.

"Rhys, Reina," Margaery held up the baby. "Meet your brother, Aenar."

Rhys leaned into his father and looked past the blankets. He grinned and looked to Reina as he pointed to the baby. "Brother!"

Hannibal smirked as she kissed over his jaw and made that comment. He smiled when he saw Roose return with his siblings and the twins. He heard Vhagar off of the balcony and nodded for the governess to open the curtains so that he could see as well.

Hannibal smiled as he held Reina in his lap so that she could clearly see her little brother. "You have a little brother. His name is Aenar." He said.

Margaery smiled when the governess opened the curtains. She gave a soft cooing sound to Vhagar in greeting. The baby in turn cried out, greeting the dragon in his own way. Reina settled into Hannibal's lap and looked down at the baby. She was wrong in her guess, but she seemed happy all the same.

"Baby!" Reina smiled and looked up to Hannibal, pointing to the baby. "Brother!"

Rhys echoed the word 'brother' over and over. Reina looked to Margaery with a serious look - as serious as the little girl could manage. "Mama. Need more girls - need sister."

Margaery laughed. "We'll see, my little love. Growing babies takes quite a bit of work."

Reina looked up to Hannibal, pointed to her mother and said one word. "Sister."

Hannibal was proud that his young son seemed to know no fear around the dragons. He watched as Reina reacted and chuckled at her demands. He leaned in to whisper into her ear. "As soon as Mama says yes I will try." He pulled back with a grin as he tapped her little nose playfully. "Only the gods can choose if you get another sibling and if it will be a sister." He said to her before kissing her forehead.

He then looked to his wife. "Are you quite certain she should be spending so much time with your grandmother?" He teased her with a wink.

Reina giggled as he tapped her nose and whispered the secret to her. She wiggled in his lap and smiled mischievously to her mother, who tilted a brow and looked at them both suspiciously.

"You two are up to something," she chuckled. "So yes, my daughter will spend as much time with her great-grandmother as she pleases and as pleases me."

Margaery stuck her tongue out playfully and nuzzled Aenar. "I'm so very happy to see you."

Hannibal chuckled before fake whispering to Reina, "She is onto us...we best be careful now."

Rhys pouted slightly when he was left out of the secret. "Secret with Papa too!" Hannibal chuckled as he reached over to pat Rhys on the head. "Next secret will be yours." He promised.

He could hear Olenna coming from the rustle of her skirts. "Why don't the two of you give Meme her special greeting." He said with a wink. It was a trick with the dragons that always got mixed reviews from her.

Reina laughed gleefully and shushed her father, cribbing mischievously at her mother. Margaery smiled when she heard Olenna approach. But when Hannibal mentioned a special greeting, she looked at him with concern.

"Hannibal..." she said lowly.

"Meme!!" The twins crowed joyfully.

Hannibal smirked as he watched his older children greet their great-grandmother. He then watched as they called their dragons to them to ride upon as they ran around the floor of the room. The dragons had grown used to the children being on them, but they did not try to fly just yet.

Margaery watched nervously as the twins rode their dragons. They chanted "Meme" over and over. Olenna watched the twins, then looked up to Hannibal and Margaery.

"Barely three and riding dragons, well now I've seen everything," Olenna sighed.

"Care to get your new grandson?" Margaery smiled as she held the baby aloft.

"Oh I was so hoping for another girl," Olenna faked disappointment. She smiled and held her newborn grandson, smiling before she saw those eyes. She looked to Margaery. "Did you tell him?"

"I did," Margaery replied. The women exchanged smiles.

Hannibal smiled at the reception of his children's trick. They were quite proud of it. "His name is Aenar. Your disappointment of desiring another. Girl is reflected in your great-granddaughter." He said as he signaled to his children to dismount.

Olenna smiled and kissed over her new great-grandson's head. "Boy or not, I am happy to have you little one."

Then she looked at Margaery in playful scolding. "You are just determined to be a difficult mother when you carry these children, aren't you?"

Margaery rolled her eyes and leaned into Hannibal, exhausted.

Hannibal held Margaery close and kissed her temple tenderly. "It is quite difficult to carry a child that is a descendent of two great houses such as ours. I do not think my wife could have carried any of our children with more grace than she did." He said in her defense. He knew Olenna was teasing, but he also appreciated how difficult it was for his wife to carry their children through two difficult deliveries after relatively smooth oregnancies.

Margaery smiled at his praise and kissed Hannibal's jaw. She cuddled in closer and smiled as the twins both made grabby hands to be picked up into the bed. Olenna sat down on the bed beside Margaery and the twins used her skirts to pull themselves up onto the bed. They stared at their brother and smiled.

"Indeed, it's a fine and strong family you've made," Olenna smiled and looked to Margaery. "I always knew you'd do well, my dear." She kissed Margaery's forehead.

Hannibal smiled and gave a courteous nod. He smiled as his whole family piled onto the bed. "Indeed we are a strong family. We will need our strength in the days to come." He said. He looked at his family with pride.

Reina smiled and nuzzled her younger brother. Rhys puffed up his chest proudly. "Strong! Protect brother and sissy!" He proclaimed.

Margaery smiled and picked Rhys up in her arms to hold him tight. She kissed his plump cheek. "Such a good brother, I know you'll protect your siblings."

Aenar grew fussy and began to cry. Margaery kissed Rhys and handed him to Hannibal. "Your brother is hungry, love." She then took Aenar from Olenna and freed a breast to feed him.

Hannibal watched as his oldest son stepped up and declared he would protect his siblings. Hannibal took him and passed Aenar to Margaery. "He is more patient than his siblings." He noted as he was finally crying for milk.

Margaery chuckled as Aenar fed. "The elder two were finally finished and weaned, only to have another claim priority for my breasts." She teased him.

Olenna rolled her eyes. "Gods be good, if you're starting in on that talk again I'll be on my way," she stood up and gave one last smile before leaving.
