[For Hannibal] Alliance of Fire

Renly Baratheon was dead, leaving his claim to the throne empty and his wife Margaery Tyrell a widow. Roose Bolton, of course, could spy an opportunity a mile away. He sent a raven to Highgarden, to Lord Mace Tyrell. Roose proposed that his youngest son and only legitimate heir be married to Margaery. Mace agreed, rather quickly as well - likely out of fear for the Bolton name.

But of course, Olenna Tyrell wasn't about to let that agreement happen. At least not on any terms but her own. So the agreement was made, but a time for delivering her to Winterfell had not been determined, and Olenna was not about to agree to one.

Ramsay Snow, wanting to be useful to his father and acknowledged as a true Bolton, decided to take action on his own. He took a small band of Bolton men and rode to Highgarden - he knew Margaery was there, after her day-long marriage to the late King Joffrey had ended. He kidnapped the Tyrell heiress and rode back to Winterfell. When he arrived, he dragged Margaery in with no amount of mercy or delicacy. He found his half-brother and father in a sitting room going over charts and battle strategies. Margaery, clad in a light dress with a keyhole opening at the front showing her cleavage and wrapping around her lower back, showing off the curves of her back and the lean muscle beneath her skin. Her skin was cold and covered in goosebumps, her lips slightly dark and a light shade of blue. But all the fire and anger was in Margaery's eyes. She wrenched herself free of Ramsay's grip and pulled her lips back to bare her teeth.

"Unhand me, mongrel!" she hissed.

"Dear father, brother - see what I've brought? We'll not have the Tyrells welching on their agreement any longer," Ramsay grinned. "The flower is a little frosty, but only because she did not appreciate my generosity of allowing her to ride in the carriage."

"What I did not appreciate was a bastard snatching me from my ancestral home and dragging me with no proper clothes into the North," Margaery snapped.

She so badly wanted to shift towards the fire, but she was bound and determined to stand tall and tough. Ramsay obviously thought her weak, she would prove him wrong.

Margaery held the babies protectively as Vhagar breathed fire upon the eggs. Reina and Rhys cried out in delight as the baby dragons came forth.

When Rhys moved closer to his dragon, Reina moved closer to hers. "Marcha!" She cried out, imitating her mother's name.

Margaery leaned in, suddenly fearful now as her children moved closer to the dragons. She looked upon her purple dragon and smiled. "Roose."

Hannibal smiled and watched as the baby dragons looked to Vhagar, then him, and then the children. He saw the blue dragon move towards Rhys and race around him before resting across his shoulders. The white dragon approached Reina and rubbed its head against her leg in a nuzzle. The purple dragon looked at Margaery before slowly moving forward. It went up to Margaery's shoulders before going down to cling against the fabric of her dress over her belly. It tilted its head to look up at Margaery.

Hannibal smiled when he saw the Dragons recognizing their owners. He looked to his children. "Remember the word Papa taught you?" Both children spoke the word protector in valeryn to the dragons. It established who they were to protect.

Margaery smiled in surprise as Roose clung to her dress and looked up at her, positioned over the baby. "Good boy," she praised, stroking over the dragon's head.

She was proud hearing her children learn and speak high valerian to their new pets.

"Now, you both understand how careful you must be, don't you?" She said sternly to the twins.

"Yes mama," they confirmed in unison.

Hannibal smiled as his children quickly became aqua yes with their pet dragons. He walked over to Margaery and let over the baby deagon's head. "A curious name my Queen." He said to her.

Margaery smiled and merit a watchful eye on her babies. "I wanted to honor my father-in-law," she replied. True enough, Rhys had been named as a way of honoring his deceased grandfather, but Margaery thought this a good opportunity to more properly pay homage to Roose Bolton.

Hannibal smiled as e nodded in agreement. "Very well chosen my Queen." He said as he watched their children playing with their dragons and doing a little bit of training. Hangar was watching carefully and would rumble a warning if they were being too rough.

When Vhagar rumbled his warning, Margaery reached out and stroked over his snout. " Good boy, watching for your siblings," she smiled, praising the older dragon. "They're like your own children, aren't they?"

Hannibal chuckled at the fair assessment. "They will now have protectors who can fly them to safety." He said as he kissed her temple. They could fly away to Essos if needed. They now had the ability with four dragons.

Hannibal gave a nod to Olenna. "Thank you once again for this gift. Three more dragons for my family is quite generous." He said.

Hannibal had heard the rumors of what was happening in Essos. He had heard of the last Targaryn and her fight to free slaves and end slavery in the heart of slavers bay. He was not afraid of her. In King's landing slavery did not exist. She would have to use a different tactic, and he intended to put onto full display all of his enemies flayed upon the shores where she would have to bring her navy in. If she brought Dothraki, he wanted them to know that he was not a weak warrior.

Olenna smiled and stroked over Rhys' head. "It was a small price to pay for the added protection and happiness of my great-grandchildren."

"Meme!" Reina cried out for her and made grabby hands, wanting Olenna to pick her up. Olenna smiled and was only too happy to oblige the little girl.

"Ohhh you are spoiled children, but you are nonetheless loved," Olenna smiled and kissed Reina's cheeks.

"They are spoiled, but they know their place and they know to be respectful," Margaery countered.

Hannibal smirked at the complement. "Children who are spoiled the right way are oftentimes the best leaders." He said. He fired upon his children, but they had to earn his praise. As they got older and more clever his expectations were higher.

Margaery smiled and lifted Rhys in her arms. "Indeed, besides, they'll only be this little for a short time, I intend to enjoy it!"

"Not little," Rhys proclaimed, puffing his chest. "BIG brother!"

"Of course, darling," Margaery kissed his cheek.

Hannibal smiled as he nodded in agreement. "Yes you are son. You are a big brother." He said as he held onto part of his family. "We look forward to seeing you both grow so big and strong and to help your younger sibling.

Months passed slowly. The twins grew older and were easily walking and talking now. Rhys went to more meetings of the Small Council. Reina attended more teas with her great-grandmother. All the while, Margaery and the baby dragons grew bigger. As the dragons grew, the more of a nuisance they became to Vhagar, who growled frequently, but loved them all the same. Margaery, as her due date came near, began to grow sick. She was in bed most of the time, and found it difficult to move.

Olenna blamed the stress of the court, and recommended that Margaery return to High Garden to rest. She agreed. Willas remained in the capital to handle the King's business, much to his chagrin. He would have preferred to stay with his sister.

Hannibal was glad to see his extended family growing so well. The dragons were growing quickly and took to their training well. Hannibal would train them and then his children would work with their dragons. Hannibal was happy to see that Roose took to his training well and always seemed to be near Margaery.

He had noticed how much pain she seemed to be in. He agreed that some time away from court might be best for her. He went with her down to Highgarden along with their children and family pets. He was not going to leave the dragons unattended for who knows how long.

Once they were settled he smiled to her as he brought her some warm broth to drink. "Do you remember the first time we were here? I believe we set our first record of mattresses we ruined." He teased.

They were in her old bedroom at Highgarden. Margaery lay in bed, Roose rested his head across her swollen belly. The Maester had already come and gone and told her to stay in bed. Her due date was soon at any rate, and with Amy luck, this would be over.

She took the offered broth and drank carefully. Margaery smiled to Hannibal and held his hand. "We did. And I'm very certain that our twins were conceived here." It was a comfort to her, knowing that a piece of her home was with her babies.

Hannibal chuckled as he eased next to her on the bed and wrapped his arm around her. "I do not doubt that. I suspected I had planted them in your womb on our wedding night. Although, our picnic in the gardens is equally likely." He said before tenderly kissing her temple.

Margaery smiled and offered some of the broth to Roose, who drank a little but left the rest for her. "So then," Margaery stroked over her belly. "What do you suspect? A girl or a boy?"

Hannibal smiled as he kissed her temple tenderly. "I suspect another daughter." He said with a smile.

Margaery gave him a sharp look. "And why is that? Because i am having such difficulties you assume we are to have another girl?" She teased.

Hannibal smiled as he tenderly kissed her temple and shook his head. "No, I was simply agreeing with our son that you are carrying a daughter. I did not mean it in that fashion." He said honestly as his lips found hers to kiss her tenderly. He had been less afraid this time to show his passion for her later into her pregnancy.

His free arm shifted to brush over her breast slowly as he pulled back from the kiss. "You know you need only ask and I can try to start the process like last time." He said.

Margaery laughed and kissed his jaw. "You're mixing up your own children. Reina said it would be a girl. Rhys said it would be a boy."

She caressed a hand over his chest and smirked up at him. "Oh, so gallant, my knight. You come to relieve me of the suffering you wright within my womb to begin with." She laughed teasingly.

Hannibal grinned when she caught his intentional error. He smiled widely at her comment as he puffed out his chest. "Indeed, I am quite galant . I could never leave a woman as beautiful as you in need." He said as his hand gave one of her sensitive breasts a firm squeeze.

Margaery gasped softly as he squeezed over her breast. She leaned in and kissed him deep. Roose knew to move when they started playing in this manner, and scurried to a small bedding area on the floor. As she reached for his doublet and pulled him closer, Margaery looked into Hannibal's eyes with a mischievous gleam. "Oh, I nearly forgot. I read something rather interesting in the family archives. Would you care to hear?"

Hannibal had shifted so that she could better feel his strongman body pressed up against hers as he returned that deep kiss. He pulled back when she did and raised an eyebrow as he looked into her eyes. "What is it you and your grandmother have discovered?" He asked with a teasing wink.

Margaery pouted and leaned back a bit. She looked up at him and gave a playful nip at his lip. "Must you be so nosy? I had hoped to surprise you. I suppose you already know what we found then?"
