Renly Baratheon was dead, leaving his claim to the throne empty and his wife Margaery Tyrell a widow. Roose Bolton, of course, could spy an opportunity a mile away. Hannibal tilted his head to the side when she mentioned that Targaeryn name. He recognized the origin ancestor of that great house, his father had taught him well after all. His eyes widened a bit at this news. "What was her name?" He asked. His family's history seemed to have inaccuracies. Some of his ancestors seemed to have lived for far longer than was considered natural.

Margaery loved it when he had his full attention like this. She had information that he didn't, and she loved it. She smirked and leaned in to whisper the name. "Elaena," she replied.

Hannibal was indeed very focused on her as he listened. His eyes widened when he heard that name. "My father spoke of her. She was my great-great-grandmother." He said. Those words sank in quickly. "That makes my house a direct descendent of house Targaeryn." He said.

Margaery grinned and nodded vehemently. "That means you have a legitimate claim to the throne!" One that not even the dragon queen could take away from him. Margaery leaned in and kissed him deep.

Hannibal sat up for a moment as the full weight of this information crashed over him. He turned to look at her. "We need exact copies of these documents and we need them sent to every Maester with a full set of chains. I want this verified so that there can be no contestation." He paused after a moment to turn and look at his wife. "Once it is verified, then I will send a raven to my niece to invite her for a visit." He said. He would need to verify if through the family lines she was a granddaughter of some level or a niece, but he would have the superior rank.

Margaery laughed softly. "Already calling her your neice? Recall that there are those who think her as mad as her father, calling her an ally may work against you, my king."

She reached out and brought his hand to her lips, kissing softly over his knuckles. "Then you are pleased with this news? We will have only the most trusted servants copy the documents. The originals shall remain in Highgarden."

Hannibal smiled as he pulled her close to kiss her deep. "That is true, but I should not make the only other person who has tamed dragons my enemy. I will strive to keep her in Essos." He said. Although, having her for an ally should they need her for the battle to keep the wall secure would be helpful. 7 dragons could be the assistance they needed to kill the white walkers.

Margaery smiled as she kissed him back. She pressed into him as her eyes glinted mischievously. "For now, would you care to show me how a Targaryen claims his queen?"
