[For Lockheed] A Day at the Beach

Dejah always enjoyed Jasoom's beaches. The heat and the sand reminded her of Barsoom, while the water took her back to her childhood days dreaming about the Time of Oceans. But being here with Lockheed and the twins made the experience that much more enjoyable.

The babies were still small, while Dejah sat on the blanket in a blue one-piece bathing suit, Dinah was edging curiously towards the edge of the blanket. Curiously she nudged her little front paw against the sand and shied back at the soft, hot feel of it. Dejah chuckled and reached out to run her fingers over Dinah's soft head.

"Was it not what you expected, little love?" she teased softly.

Lockheed was also fond of Earth's beaches, the warmth of the area seeping nicely into his body and at a comfortably hot temperature for him. And he could tell that Dejah relished the chance to come here too. No doubt it reminded her of Barsoom, though he expected the size of Earth's oceans compared to her own world had impressed her. And the little twins were enjoying things too. Since they had been born they had mastered walking and crawling quickly, though flight was still a little untested.

He chuckled at Dinah's reaction to the hot sand, though he admired her curiousity since it was a trait he shared. Not to be deterred by his sister's attempt the more purple Martin strode a little boldly towards the same place, tested the sand and leapt back just as surprised. Dinah was cooing at her mother's touch and rubbed her head gently against Dejah's hand at the attention until Martin moved to beside her, clearly wanting the same fuss. Lockheed had been pleased that overall the two babies were not exceptionally competitive, save in acts of affection to their parents.

"They're always gonna be curious, I hope they never lose that."
