[For Jorah/Hannibal] Homecoming
In Essos, Daenerys had given birth to a healthy and lively baby girl. She had her father's dark eyes but the light hair and full face of her mother. It was shortly after her birth that a letter arrived from across the Shivering Sea - too far for a raven to fly. It came from King's Landing and bared the Bolton seal. The letter invited Daenerys back to Westeros, but not to reclaim the Iron Throne. Apparently, Hannibal Bolton had taken control of King'sLanding, and the Starks had all but been demolished. The Lannisters, in turn, had also been eradicated.
Daenerys was shocked. But more than that, she suspected treason. As did Tyrion Lannister. With her newborn daughter to her breast, Daenerys took council with Jorah, Grey Worm, Missandei and Tyrion.
"Who does this Bolton think he is?" She snapped. "Inviting me back without promising to relinquish the throne to me? It is mine by birthright, I will not allow some savage northman to take what is mine."
Lannister, Baratheon, Bolton - the name didn't matter. A thief was a thief.
"If he took King's Landing and defeated the Lannister army, my queen, then we can conclude that he indeed has a powerful army of his own," Tyrion pointed out.

A few weeks had gone by, and Margaery's belly had begun to swell only slightly with their fourth child. Of course Olenna could spot this a mile away and was already declaring name options. Aenar was with the pair of them while they took tea in the gardens overlooking the ocean. The boy was now sitting up on his own in his mother's lap, but still feed from her breast. The twins were studying with their tutors.
"So tell me child," Olenna sipped her tea. "What is your husband's intention by inviting the Targaryen girl back here?"
Aenar cooed when Roose came close and he patted his hands over the dragon's nose. Margaery glanced up to her grandmother, who added more to her question.
"Don't tell me he means to surrender his throne to her, now that they have a confirmed common lineage?" Olenna scoffed.
"Certainly not, grandmother," Margaery replied sharply. "Do you honestly think my husband is the type of man to relinquish power? No. But if you're so curious, all him yourself, he should be joining us shortly."

He allowed Margaery to say her peace before focusing upon Danaerys once more. "I will continue to show you the hospitality I have promised you upon your arrival. If you choose not to accept my offer of friendship, that is your decision. I will protect what is mine should you mean ill will." He warned before motioning after the citizens who had left quickly after the demonstration. "For the subjects who protest, if you do not punish them swiftly and severely then the problem will grow. Sometimes it is better to be fear slightly more than loved." He said simply.

"You will protect what is yours?" She sneered. "And what exactly do you think is yours? Nothing in King's landing belongs to you! You stole a throne that was stolen from me. You have no right!"
Daenerys glanced to Margaery. "And neither do you. If you were wise, you would both surrender the Red Keep to me. Go quietly, abs perhaps I will show mercy."
no subject
"How dare you?" Margaery growled. "My husband invited you here in good faith, and this is how you repay him?"
She stood up straighter and leveled a glare at Daenerys. "We do not have to show you kindness. We could have sent assassins to kill you the moment we took King's Landing."

He did level a look to Margaery at her bold threat. "You speak as if you have the same authority."' He accused her.

Hannibal waited for a few more moments before speaking. He stood tall, but did not raise his voice in the least. "I claim what I have defended and protected for my whole life. The lands of my family." He said before staring deep into her eyes with intensity that made most people very uncomfortable. "It has been proven that you are my great-great-niece. According to the laws, this will only be yours if my line fails. If you attempt a take-over...you will be labeled a usurper and confirm half of the fears the people have of you being as ruthless as your father. Not to mention loosing the north entirely an perhaps only having control of the land south of the remnants of the Twins." He stated simply.

She scoffed when he brought up the bloodline. "I have heard your claim that you are a descendant of the Targaryen line. I have seen the branch that you claim. It hardly makes you a king. You are from a far distant line and carry no Targaryen name. I am a more direct descendant and I carry the name. Therefore the Seven Kingdoms belong to me and me alone!"
She shook her head in anger. "And you think everyone will rally behind you? A man who rules with fear and violence? My subjects know mercy, they call me mother, they trust me. The people of the Seven Kingdoms will know the same trust. I am not my father or brother."

"Where were you when the Lannisters killed Ned Stark? Where were you when the Lannisters exercised a rule of tyranny?" She demanded. "My husband rescued this country from lion rule while you were too busy playing in the sand."
Daenerys glared at Margaery and replied with a single sentence. "Where was your father in law during the Red Wedding? Who was it that allied themselves with the Lannisters during Robb Stark's war? Oh yes, I know all about that."

He stayed out of the banter, but he was watching and listening carefully. He was also looking around for the trap to close in around them.

He looked to Danaerys. "My wife does indeed have the same authority as I do. I would not ignore her words. However, I have noticed that your fugitive husband keeps looking around nervously. I have brought my family here to greet you, my children had made gifts for you. However, if you are planning an attack, I will have no choice but to label you as equally dangerous as your husband."
Jorah had run quickly after being banished. He was considered a criminal running from the law in the eyes of the North. A coward who would not accept the black or death so he ran.

Daenerys stood straighter and focused her violet eyes on him. "I am planning no such attack, but if I am threatened, my Blood Riders will defend me to the death."
There came a cry from above, and her dragons circled the sky. Daenerys smiled at the pair. "As will my dragons."
She focused very solemnly upon Hannibal and Margaery. "What is it you expect of me? I will not yield the Iron Throne. The Seven Kingdoms belong to me, and I will have them."
no subject
She glanced up to the dragons, feeling slightly uneasy at their presence. Their dragons were on the ground, watching Daenerys' dragons intently.
Margaery looked to Hannibal, ready to follow his lead.

Although, a part of him suspected that he would fly away. His own dragons were fine and seemed to be in no pain whatsoever. He would wait to see how she reacted to her dragons being repelled so easily.

"I knew it. I knew you had some manner of treachery planned!" Daenerys snapped.
For all her defiance, what could she do? She was weaponless and without her dragons she could do nothing. "You have some nerve. So what do you plan to do? Kill me? Claim the throne for yourself and extinguish any true Targaryen claim?"
no subject
"You were warned, my dear," Margaery pointed out. "You remained petulant and argumentative. Had you been more respectful, perhaps you would have been received with less hostility."

"My dragons obey me when they are not in pain, that is enough!" She snapped. "Who are you to call my weaknesses?"
But, despite her anger, she didn't want to fight. Daenerys breathed deeply and looked to Daella to further calm her anger.
"You've sent my dragons away. Now what? If you don't intend to kill me, what then are your intentions?"
no subject
She kept quiet for now, reveling in the anger felt by her adversary. Margaery knew Hannibal would not let her be queen. The kingdom was theirs to rule.
They had used Daenerys' own trump card against her.

Had she met her match?
"How am I to trust that you aren't trying to poison me?" She asked.
When he took Margaery's arm, Daenerys noticed something beneath the other woman's clothes. It was subtle, but any woman who had been pregnant would have been able to spot it, the slightest swell of her belly beneath the billowing fabric. She said nothing, and directed her gaze to Hannibal, not letting on that she'd noticed Margaery's pregnancy.

"My husband already told you he doesn't kill relatives for sport," she pointed out.
She knew Daenerys had no intention of returning to Essos. Not without a settlement of some sort. She wanted her homeland.

He then looked to his children. "Didn't the two of you and want to show your cousin something special?" He asked Rhys and Reina. They had added some decorations to the remains of Jaime and Cersei Lannister. It looked like they were being consumed by a dragon. They would be led around to the front drawbridge to see the grotesque display. It was still quite obvious that they had been flayed from the neck down.
