[For Jorah] Under the Targaryen Banner

The rebellion had been crushed.

The Baratheons were punished and Robert was beheaded for leading the charge against the Targaryen banner. Battles had been waged and fought all across Westeros, and luckily for the Targaryens, they had plenty of loyal supporters who fought for them. The Mormont clan were such supporters. Particularly Jorah Mormont, who was knighted by the King when the war was over.

But he didn't stop there.

Jorah's loyalty and devotion to the Targaryen banner was so great and his deeds were so admirable that the King took it a step further. He made Jorah Warden of the North, and sent his youngest child, his daughter Daenerys, to meet Jorah at Winterfell.

Another reward for Ser Jorah Mormont: She was to be his bride.

Daenerys wasn't sure how she felt about the North. On the carriage ride all she did was pull the furs about her tighter, to keep her warm. When they finally arrived at Winterfell, it began to snow lightly all around them. A Gold Cloak had been sent North to see that Daenerys was delivered safely, and he opened the carriage door for her to let her out.

Daenerys laughed softly and leaned up to kiss Jorah. "She will. I did."

She waited for the Maester to leave before leaning into him and rocking their son. Soon the babies began to whimper and cry, wanting a meal. Daenerys moved her dress and allowed him to feed. Jaslin began to cry. "Shhhh, my love, you will be able to feed soon."

Jorah smiled as he looked into Jaslin's eyes. He saw Daenerys put Jorys to her breast. He began to gently rock her and he hummed to soothe their small daughter. "Shhhh my sweet Jaslin. You will have your meal shortly. Next time you will get the first meal and your brother will wait his turn." He said gently.

Jaslin seemed calmed by his words. She reached out with her little hands to squeeze Jorah's fingers.

Daenerys smiled as Jorys fed happily from her breast. "Your son is almost as ravenous as you are." She giggled.

Jorah smiled as he looked over at his son. He chuckled before looking back at Jaslin and allowing her to grip his fingers. "I think you will have even more little one." He said as he gave Daenerys a knowing smirk as he continued to keep her calm and quiet.

After a few minutes, Jorys let go and Daenerys lifted the baby to burp him. When he was taken care of she looked to Jorah and held up their son. "Will you be so kind as to give me my daughter?"

Jorah chuckled as he leaned down to whisper, even though Daenerys could head. "It will be our secret that you like me better." He said as he switched children with his wife. He flashed a smile to his young son. "I know how delicious that is son. Enjoy the flavor while you can." He said.

Daenerys rolled her eyes and would have smacked him playfully were it not for the baby feeding from her breast. "You're fortunate our son is hungry or you'd pay for that," she teased back.

Jorah flashed a smile to Daenerys as she fed their young daughter. He smiled as he continued to rock Jorys until he fell asleep. "They are so beautiful. We will need a second crib in our room." He said with a smile.

Daenerys nodded. "I didn't even think of that - we will indeed!" she pulled Jaslin from her breast and brought her up to burp her as she had her son. "We should contact the carvers immediately. The sooner it's done the better - they could sleep in the bed in the meantime but...the crib would be safest."

Jorah smiled as he adjusted his hold on Jorys so that he could put his arm around Daenerys. "I will set then to work on that immediately." He said. Hen kissed her temple gently. "Shall we retire to our chamber my love?" He asked.

Daenerys nodded a little before looking up to him sheepishly. "I would like to - but I am not so certain I can walk so soon..." carrying two babies had indeed been a task, and she hadn't even known she'd been carrying them! But having gone into labor and brought them into the world now...that had indeed been excruciating.

Jorah considered her words and looked at her with a gentle smile. "Can you carry our children in your arms? I can carry the three of you back to our chambers so that we can clean you up." He offered with a tender smile. He was more than willing to carry the three of them. His wife was never very heavy. He had just carried the three of them when he picked her up to bring her here.

Daenerys smiled and shifted her body to hold Jaslin in one arm and held the other out to hold Jorys. "I think I can manage that much for my strong husband."

Jorah smiled as he passed Jorys to her. He then wrapped the top sheet around her and shifted to slip his arms beneath her to lift her. He easily lifted her and was able to manage the three of them as he walked back towards their chambers. He safely carried them into their chambers and smiled down to his family. "Welcome home." He said with pride.
