[For Jorah] A True Mother

Peace in the Seven Kingdoms.

It had been hard-won, but things were finally settling down. Daenerys had crushed the Lannister resistance and all its supporters with minimal casualties. Most of the Westerosi people were too happy to see the lions stripped of their power. Some were still wary of having a dragon on the throne again, but Daenerys had proven that she was not her father. Far from it, she was kind and forgiving - though not weak by any stretch of the imagination.

And she could not have been happier with Jorah by her side.

Nights in the Red Keep were hot enough, and every night he worked her into such a frenzy of lust that the scent of their bedroom seemed to smell perpetually of sweat and sex and love. Thus it came as no surprise to her maids when Daenerys once again began missing her bleeding, and as her breasts became fuller. Daenerys had not been certain that she could believe that, once again, she was pregnant. To be sure, without telling Jorah, she went to the Maester and had him test her to be certain.

It was true: Daenerys was pregnant.

Overjoyed, Daenerys instructed the servants that she would take dinner in her bedroom and to send the king consort to her when it was time for dinner. She waited patiently in their bedroom, in the balcony overlooking the city. The servants brought dinner and set it up on the table for them before leaving Daenerys alone to wait for Jorah. The wine had gone unpoured at her instructions, and the jug was on Jorah's side of the table. Daenerys could hardly contain her excitement.

Drogon tried to be a bit flashier in his flying - Daenerys was happy that Jorys had wanted to ride with Jorah. Every once in a while she would glance over her shoulder or to the side to look and wave at Jorys, who smiled and laughed but kept his hands firmly secured as he had been instructed.

When they landed Daenerys slipped off Drogon's back with the help of her bodyguard. Then she stepped over to reach up for Jorys, who laughed and cried out in absolute delight, only too eager to return to his mother's arms.

"We flew, Mama!" he proclaimed.

"We did! You did so well, my darling," she praised him with a kiss on the forehead and glanced up to smile at Jorah, happy that he had kept their son so safe.

Jorah smiled proudly at him when he got off of the dragon. He gave a nod of his head in agreement. "We did indeed, you ride very well." He complemented as they were led into the castle to meet the Warden of the East. This was just the first of many meetings. This would be a semi-formal greeting before the welcoming feast for the entire party.

Daenerys carried Jorys for a little while, but he was old enough to walk on his own and she didn't want to coddle him. So she set him down on the ground and let him walk beside her the rest of the way. They were greeted by the Warden of the East and blessings were paid to the benevolent Queen and the precious heir. They were then shown to their rooms where they would be staying during their visit. Jorys would be staying in the same room and immediately clambered into the small bed near the wall to see how it compared to his bed at home. Daenerys smiled and leaned into Jorah a bit to whisper. "You'll have to be quiet if you want to take me here if our son will be in the same room," she teased him softly.

Jorah gave a polite response when it was required. Once they were in the provided chambers he smirked slightly at her whispered words. He leaned down to kiss her temple and whisper lowly into her ear. "Perhaps I should find a way to quiet you down when I pleasure you so that you can't help to scream your pleasure."

Daenerys chuckled softly and whispered right back. "We'll have to explore our options then."

She couldn't continue the conversation much longer as Jorys was rushing up to the both of them. He rushed up to Jorah and held his arms up, wanting to be held. "Up, Papa! Pleeease?"

Jorah smirked at that answer. However, their son interrupted him before he could follow up with her words. He grinned down at his son proudly before reaching down to pick him up as requested. He raised their son up above his head and tossed him slightly before catching him and spinning him in a circle. "Is this high enough?"

Jorys squealed with laughter and delight as Jorah lifted him. His little arms reached down to his father, his fingertips barely brushing over Jorah's stubbled chin. "Yes!! Yes Papa!" Jorys laughed.

"You're almost as high as Drogon flies, little love," Daenerys smiled. "Jorah, be careful with my son, don't drop him."

"Papa won't drop me! Silly Mama!" Jorys grinned.

Jorah smiled as he continued to play with his son. He set the boy down after a moment with a proud smile on his face as he looked at his son. He turned to look at his wife. "I am still strong enough to toss you through the air as well my Queen. Shall I demonstrate?" He said with a crooked smirk.

He hoped his son would cheer him on to give him an opportunity to tease his wife a little.

Jorys cried out in delight as Jorah played with him. His arms stuck out as if he truly were flying. Daenerys loved every minute of it. When Jorah set him down and made his statement, Jorys grinned and jumped up and down.

"Up Mama!! Up Mama!!" Jorys exclaimed.

Daenerys smiled but looked at Jorah - she knew he would indulge their child's request. She gave a tilt of her brow and stepped back from him. "Don't you dare."

Jorah smirked as he looked to his wife. He paused for a moment before chasing after her to wrap his arms around her. He picked her up and spun her around in a large circle before moving her around so that he could toss her a few inches before catching her.

Daenerys gave a sharp yelp as Jorah lifted her into the air. When he tossed her up, she cried out again, bringing her arms around his neck and squeezing tightly. Jorys was beside himself with glee. He laughed and cried out joyously, jumping up and down as Jorah tossed his mother about. "Yay Papa!!"

Daenerys was not so enthused. She looked up to Jorah, but after a minute she couldn't help laughing and leaning in to kiss her husband. "Such a fool."

Jorah smiled when he seemed clear of his wife's wrath for tossing her about in such a manner. He flexed his muscles a bit more so that she could feel how securely he was currently holding her as he returned her kiss before nibbling on her ear. "I can hold you up all night if you so desire." He whispered into her ear.

Daenerys sighed softly at his gruff voice in her ear. Her violet eyes flashed as she looked up to him. "You will," she whispered playfully.

Jorys, no longer content to be amused by his father holding his mother so aloft, trotted up a bit and held his arms up to his father with a little pout. "Me too, Papa! Me too!!"

Daenerys smiled down at their son and looked to Jorah. "If you can handle it - I can probably lift him in my arms if you can lift us both."

Jorah smiled as he gave a nod to his wife. "I can handle the weight." He said with a smile as he lowered her enough to pick up their son as well. Honestly, Daenerys was still so light that her weight was not very difficult at all for him to hold both her and their son.

As Jorah lowered her, Jorys hopped happily, anxious to be up in the air again. Daenerys wrapped her arms around her son and lifted him up so Jorah could lift them both. For which she was rewarded with a quick kiss on the nose.

"My Mama!" Jorys proclaimed.

Daenerys smiled and kissed his chubby little cheek. "My baby."

"Ewww, Mama!" Jorys giggled in delight but mock-disgust of being kissed. Daenerys just grinned and moved to kiss him again, which made Jorys cry out again and laugh as he pushed her back.

Jorah smiled at both of them as he swung them around in a large circle with a proud smile on his face. "My family." He said as he spun them around and bounced them lightly in his arms before carrying all of them to the bed and gently tossing them onto the soft matress before pulled the pair of them into a tight hug.

Daenerys squeezed their son in her arms as Jorah spun them around. Jorys cried out with delight as they dropped to the bed. Daenerys bounced a bit on the bed before she settled into his embrace.

"Too tight Papa! Too tight!" Jorys yelped, squirming in Daenerys' arms to loosen Jorah's grip.

Jorah smiled as he loosened his grip slightly so as to not crush his family. He enjoyed holding them close and kissed Daenerys temple gently. "Sorry son, I am quite strong."

Daenerys smiled, leaning up to kiss Jorah's lips. "Strong like a bear." She was lost in his gaze for a moment as she stared up at him. Jorys, on the other hand, gave a happy little wiggle in his mother's grasp.

"The bear! The bear and the maiden fair!!" Jorys exclaimed. His father's sigil was the bear, of course he knew the song! Enough people referred to Jorah and Daenerys as 'The Bear and the Maiden Fair' nowadays that he would have picked it up either way.

Daenerys, however, was not remotely amused. She stared down at their son with wide violet eyes. "Jorys!" Jorys blinked at her tone but was soon grinning madly. Amused with his mother's expression.
