She was so quick to rush to the window, no doubt momentarily adjusting to the blinds than any sort of drapes, that Eric was too surprised to stop her, not that he minded her doing so, and he smiled at her evident amazement, aware that despite her time frame Anne was more than capable of understanding futuristic concepts with the right amount of help and intel.
"Yeah, we've mastered building larger structures in the last few centuries, kind of have to since there's so many people now." He moved beside her to open the blinds wider so she could have a better look. "And those are cars. They're like machines we use to move about in. Horses and carriages are more of a novelty these days." The buzz of an aircraft above them made him look up. "Ah, and planes are another thing. This could take a while, so why don't we take it one step at a time, ok? I'm sure you'll master everything with time."
