[For Lockheed] Expecting the Unexpected
They had their little schedule - Dejah left her bedroom window open enough for Lockheed to enter if he decided to visit her in the night, or whenever he pleased, really. So it should have been no surprise to Dejah Thoris when her monthly bleeding didn't come. Nor should it have been a surprise when she took a home test and the results came through clear: Positive.
Pregnant.
She sat on the side of the bathtub, staring at the test in her hand. Hardly believing the clear facts that were before her.

"Yeh'll be a great mom. And that's nice of yeh to say, Dejah. I try to be, always."

"I hope you're right."

"I know it. I mean yeh were a princess, and that's probably a lot harder, right? I was leading a lotta people but it wasn't quite the same thing."
Should we fastforward to her actually giving birth soon or did you want to play something else out?
"Indeed, being a princess, being a leader, it's not the same as being a parent. It's more personal, there's a more intense desire to protect," Dejah was already feeling these things, and she hadn't even given birth yet.
I'm happy to skip to the birth if you want! :) Would you want to start a new thread or stay here?
Either one works for me! Which would you prefer?
In other words: Dejah thought the wrongdoing of children was the fault of the parents.
I think a new thread, otherwise this one might get a tad long?
He snuggled up more against her, his head shifting upwards to rest against her belly so he might listen within, even if it was still early days yet.
