[For Hannibal] The Raid

Since the Lannister execution and the overthrowing of Tommen Baratheon, Hannibal had settled into the Iron Throne rather comfortably with Margaery at his side. The Bolton reign had begun. And having already amassed a strong brood of children, the dynasty looked as if it would be set for some time.

Of course there were those who opposed their new King. Remnants of those loyal to the Lannisters, or the true Targaryen loyalists who considered Hannibal an unworthy successor in comparison to Daenerys. There were minor uprisings, which were put down with ease between the Bolton and Tyrell army.

But a raven arrived one morning from Winterfell.

The royal family sat at the breakfast table. Rhys and Reina were bickering over the last biscuit, while Aenar crumbled his food between his tiny fingers, and Margaery held Lorys to her breast to feed her. A servant brought the note, addressed to Margaery, which Margaery took with her free hand. Her expression turned grave as she looked to Hannibal.

"It's from Sansa. She says a few days ago a messenger from the Dreadfort arrived and told her that there was activity stirring on the Iron Islands..." she was nervous. The Ironborn were a salty, devious lot. Her grandmother had always preferred the quasi-savage Dornish to the Ironborn.

No sooner had she read the message, then the signal horn sounded and Gold Cloak rushed in. Black sails bearing the golden kracken were approaching Blackwater Bay at top speed - faster than any ship they'd yet seen. Margaery went pale.

Hannibal gave a nod. "As you wish my Queen." He looked to his assassins. "Collect the heads of any bastards this false King sired. We will inspect the island to ensure that it is clear of these parasites." He said.

He took Vhagar up into the air and over the houses. He had him breathe fire on every house and watched to see if anyone came running out. He would fire a special arrow that was attached to strong rope. The arrow would pierce a person and grip them so tightly that he could hoist them into the air and drag them back to the beach to be questioned before being executed.

Margaery gripped tight to Vhagar's neck as the great dragon swooped over the Iron Islands. She took immense satisfaction watching the island burn. Most of the residents had hidden in their homes and were too deep inside to escape before burning to death. A few managed to escape and rush out, but met with Hannibal's arrow.

Suddenly Margaery's eyes widened as she looked up to Hannibal. "The babies! Hannibal, who's watching the babies!?"

She knew that surely he wouldn't have left their children alone and uncared for - but she had been so overwhelmed with her situation that she had nearly forgotten. Margaery gripped his wrist and looked up at him with wide, frightened eyes.

Hannibal had just cleared the village when Margaery raised her concern. He looked deep into her eyes. "Breanne of Tarth, the Kingsguard, and I'm certain the full Tyrell army are protecting them right now. We had extra milk stored away for Loerys. We should not waste much more time here though. They will want to see that you are safe my love." He said as he did a final scan that all building had been destroyed before flying back to the beach to drop off the few stragglers.

"Question them and take their heads if they are bastards. It is time to return home." He said. The assassins vows their heads before quickly finishing their work. They had a collection of 12 heads as they mounted the smaller dragons. Hannibal gave the command and they began the journey back to Kings Landing quickly.

Margaery relaxed, comforted that the children were safe. As they flew back to the beach, she remained silent, absolutely exhausted from her encounter. She wanted to go home.

Suddenly she felt weak, and feint. Margaery turned and gripped Hannibal's arm before she fell back against him. She fainted. Completely unconscious after so much trouble over this whole ordeal. Margaery mumbled, but was unresponsive.

Hannibal felt her relax. He then felt her distress and watched as she passed out. He gave the command and the assassins were airborne. They began to fly quickly back. He knew it was exhaustion, but he was worried about Margaery. He wanted to get her back so she could rest properly.

They were back at the red keep by sunset. They had managed to return by only mixing one day. Hannibal had Vhagar take them directly to their chambers to drop them off. Hannibal carried Margaery into their chambers. He got some spelling salts and used them to rouse her. "My love, we are home, we are safe. Our children want to see you. Loerys might require feeding, then you can rest some more." He promised her.

He didn't want the children to see her passed out, that would worry them.

When they heard Vhagar, Rhys and Reina bolted for their parents' chambers. Aenar crawled after them. Loerys was secure in Brienne's arms, but she followed after the children.

Margaery stirred slowly, groggily. She nodded to Hannibal, but was silent. Margaery could hear Rhys and Reina calling for her. She sat up a little to receive her children. Margaery reached out and took Hannibal's hand, wanting him to stay near her. At the very least, she was thankful that Euron hadn't raped her in her own bed.

Breanna picked up the young Aenar to carry him as well. She knew the King and Queen would want to see that they were indeed safe.

Hannibal nodded his head in silent agreement. Rhys and Reina burst into the room first. "Mama!?" They cried out before rushing to the bed to hug her tightly. Rhys spotted the bruises on her face and anger filled his young face. He looked to his father. "They paid for hurting my mother?"

Hannibal gave a nod a he touched his sons shoulder. "Yes son. The price has been paid for treachery. Now, hug your mother. She missed you greatly. He said. He moved to stand next to the bed as he worked to remove his armor.

He saw Breanna enter and gave a nod of his head. "Did our children behave themselves Lord Commander?"

Margaery as overjoyed to see her children and hugged the twins tight when they were in reach. She smiled at Rhys when he was so quick to defend her. Margaery kissed his forehead and nodded slowly. "They paid the Bolton price, your father saw to that."

"Mama!" Reins whimpered, burying her face into Margaery's chest and crying in relief.

"They behaved, but they were anxious and worried to see their parents alive and well," Brienne replied. Margaery reached for Loerys, who Brienne handed over without delay.

Aenar was set on the bed beside his siblings and crawled near his mother, who cradled Loerys in her arms.

Hannibal finished removing his armor before he looked at Brienne. "Was this contained?" He wa sreferring to news of what had happened getting out to the public.

Brienne gave a bow of her head. "Indeed it was your Grace. The people think you flew off to chase the attack down and fully defeat them for their transgression."

Hannibal nodded, "Ensure it remains that way. Set a price on any remaining Ironborn that might have been in Essos so high that they won't be able to bribe their way out of being killed. I am not interested in them being returned alive. All I require is their head." He said. He had no doubt that some Ironborn might have been away from the island.

He then moved to lie down next to Margaery and slip an arm around her slowly. He then looked up at Brienne. "If Lady Tyrell arrives, inform her that we are all here and quite safe. However, we are also exhausted from the ordeal and will meet with her in the morning." He said. He knew Margaery would need some sleep before dealing with her grandmother.

At the mention of Lady Tyrell, Brienne groaned a little, unable to stop herself. Reina looked up with wide, happy eyes. "Mimi's here!!"

"Indeed...Lady Olenna is already here, my king," Brienne grumbled. "Keeping her calm has indeed been taxing, if I may speak frankly."

Margaery chuckled, lifting little Loerys to her breast to feed her.

"It will be difficult to hold her back," Brienne replied.

"Mimi's loud," Rhys added flatly.

Hannibal considered the problem. He was not surprised to find she was here already. "She got here quickly in her carriage." He noted.

Brienne shook her head. "She arrived on horseback Your Grace, and she has been quite loud."

Hannibal raised an eyebrow at that. He was not aware that Lady Olenna still rode horses. However, he should not be surprised since Margaerys health and safety were the major points of concern. He gave his oldest children a look. "Can the two of you go with the Lord Commander? Help her tell Mimi that we will all have breakfast together in the morning. Tell her the Mama is fine, but tired and is already asleep. Can the two of you do that for me?"

Rhys and Reina both nodded their heads. "Yes Papa."

Hannibal nodded. "Good, go and tell her then come back here. You can sleep with us tonight." He said.

Both of their faces lit with excitement at that. They loved it when they could all sleep in the bed together.

Hannibal was pleased with their excitement. He thought that having them close would help Margaery sleep better.

Of course Rhys and Reina eagerly accepted the job. Margaery leaned up a bit to look at them. "Rhys, Reina, you know how Mimi is, when you tell her Mama is sleeping, don't let her come up here. She will try, you'll protect Mama, won't you?"

They both nodded eagerly. Margaery smiled and waved them both off. They followed Brienne to deliver the news to their great-grandmother. About that time, Loerys was through eating and ready to be burped. Margaery saw to that before lifting the baby for Hannibal to take.

Now Aenar wanted attention. He crawled closer to Margaery and she took him in her arms to rock him slowly. She had to breathe carefully, purposefully.

"What an ordeal..." She mumbled. She looked to Hannibal again with soft eyes. "Thank you, for rescuing me, for avenging me, for taking care of me."

Hannibal looked deep with her eyes with love. "Always my love. I will always tend to you and support you. I would destroy a tree if it dropped an acorn upon your head. Never fear, I will always be here for you." He said.

He leaned in to kiss her temple softly as he held young Loerys. "Would you like to change before the other two come back for bed my love? I can manage these two alone." He said.

Margaery smiled and tilted her head when he leaned in to kiss her temple. She caught his lips with her own. Margaery kissed him passionately and pressed her forehead to his.

"Yes...." She whispered in answer to his question. "....euron was the last man inside me...I...I can't tolerate that..." She whispered.

Margaery sat up to allow Hannibal to take Aenar. Then she would stand up to undress.

Hannibal returned that passionate kiss with an equal amount of fire. He looked in her eyes as she spoke. He tended to their children, but watched her as she changed. "Do you wish for me to change that before we go to sleep?" He asked her.

He would do whatever she needed to assist in her recovery from the damage Euron had done.

Margaery let the gown fall to the floor. As he posed the question, Margaery crossed her hands over her chest. She was bare, but she didn't want to hide herself from him.

"...forgive me...im not ready, but I'm not...I'm not ready. But at the same time, I don't want to sleep in our bed knowing he's been inside me..." She looked over her shoulder to him with sadness and struggle in her eyes. "I don't know what to do..." She whimpered.

Hannibal looked over her body with loving desire. He saw that Loerys was asleep and he told Aenar to close his eyes and go to sleep. Hannibal then stood and moved to hold her close as he kissed her forehead tenderly. "Why don't I draw you a bath...once Rhys and Reina return I will help wash away anything that remains. That way you can sleep." He offered.

Margaery leaned into him, seeking his warmth as a chill rolled through her from being nude. She nodded slowly. "We'll put the children to bed, then yes, a bath sounds good. I'm sure that will help." She kissed his chin affectionately.

Hannibal smiled as he wrapped his arms around her. He shifted them to wrap a warm robe around her before leading. Her back to the bed. "Come my sweet love. I believe young Aenar wishes to spend time with you. I will go and start your bah and return in a moment." He said.

He moved to start the water and remained in her view the entire time.

Margaery moved to slip into the robe as Hannibal dressed her. She then followed to the bed and settled in. Margaery slowly picked Aenar up into her arms as Loerys slept.

"My sweet boy," she whispered as she held him close. "We're you good while Mama waa gone? I'm sorry I couldn't stay and I had to leave. But it won't happen again. Mama promises."

Aenar cooed and cuddled in close, Margaery kissed his head and held him tight. After a few moments their eyes closed and they both began to doze off.

Hannibal had returned and smiled when he saw Margaery falling asleep with Aenar. He carefully shifted them so that the two small children were safely in the middle of the bed. He kiss e Margaerys temple as he heard Rhys and Reina returning. "Let is see if they were successful in their mission." He whispered softly.

Margaery mumbled softly as Hannibal moved the baby. Slowly she sat up as Rhys and Reina came charging in, giggling.

"And just what are you both so cheerful about?" Margaery smiled.

"Mimi's sooooo mad!" Reina laughed.

"We told her she needed to leave Mama alone and she got mad," Rhys laughed too.

"Such silly children, come here to your Mama," she smiled as the twins bolted into bed with her and the babies.

Hannibal chuckled at the report. "I certainly hope she is not too cross. Now, your mother and I need to wash up before bed. Can the two of you mind your sleeping brother and sister? We will be back shortly. If they are both asleep and you find yourselves tired you can go to sleep." He said.

Both nodded thei heads in understanding.

Hannibal then kissed the top of each of their heads before offering a hand to Margaery to lead her to the prepared bath.

Margaery let Hannibal help her up, then she let the twins settle into bed with their siblings. She took Loerys and set her in the trundle bed on Margaery's side of the bed. Then she tucked in the other three and kissed them each. Then she took Hannibal's hand and followed him to the bath chamber.

A nice, hot bath sounded like paradise right now.

Hannibal led her to the bathroom and helped her take the robe back off. He also undressed before picking her up and stepping into the bath with her. He settled into the warm water with her back pressed up against his chest. He kissed her temple tenderly as he picked up son soap.

"Relax my love. Let me clean you up." He said as he moved to get her body wet before moving to tenderly massage her breasts as he cleaned them off before slowly moving to clean off her toned stomach.
