Hannibal knew that Jaime was likely trying to discover where Margaery had gone. Hannibal snapped his fingers and three cousins of Jaime were brought forward. He looked up at Riverrun as the young men were strapped up to wooden stakes so that they could not run or move too much. He walked to the first one as a tray of blades were brought out and put on display. "For every minute that you make me wait I will flay a little of your kin to feed to my pets." He said.

In the end he was going to kill all three, but he wanted to strike fear in the Lannister army. He had a plan in mind to annihilate the army with very little bloodshed from his men.
