Hannibal saw the bait for the trap laid and accepted by the prey. After dinner was over, he requested Jaime to speak with him in private. He pulled the Lion to a quiet spot near the library.
His eyes were slightly cold. "You have a problem Ser Jaime. Your man Bronn is not trustworthy with secrets. He has already confessed grave secrets of your family to a servant of mine in hopes of bedding my wife. I fear these secrets could unravel the seven kingdoms. I have given my wife permission to see if she can get him to confess the same secrets in the room next to us." He said.
Jaime was curious what this was about. He had a bad feeling in the gut of his stomach when he heard Hannibal's words. There was anger in his eyes and voice. "Are you threatening me?"
Hannibal shook his head. "No, I am simply warning you Ser Jaime. We are allies not enemies." He said before leading Jaime to a secret door that would allow them to both hear and see what was happening in the library.
