tyrelltempest: (Now now - I wouldn't if I were you...)

To his first points, Margaery nodded and agreed. He was right; if he were a true, cruel Bolton, he would have left her for his father and brother to do as they liked with her. He hadn't. He'd protected her; scolded her in fact when she jeopardized her own safety.

Would he truly have done that if he was only concerned about keeping her alive just so he could marry her?

No.

Margaery listened carefully to his plan. He laid all his cards out on the table. She was surprised, in all honesty. But she was very, very quiet as she listened intently. When he revealed an ally in the Vale, he needed say no more.

"Littlefinger," she whispered. Her dark eyes turned grave. "If you're truly intending to trust him, I'd be wary of him as an ally." She'd seen what he'd done to Sansa, and she'd always found him creepy, in truth.

Margaery considered his plan, and looked up at him again. He considered her strong and clever - a worthy bride for him. Margaery couldn't help smiling, a crooked little grin on her lips. "And if I had still been married to Renly, who would you have chosen for a wife?"
