Anne nodded at his words, but then felt silly for doing so, as he couldn't see her so far as she knew.

"Yes, all right, that sounds like a plan."

In the meantime she paced the room, pushing her fingers through her hair, a nervous wreck. She hated this; being a damsel was all well and good in her original time, but she had abilities now! Anne knew she should be able to defend herself without completely relying upon her knight.

But all she could do now was wait and pray.
