Anne felt the barrier on the door still there - but there was a clear chink in the armor. If she could use that strength again, throw all of her energy against the door, she might be able to break it completely.

But Eric's words gave her pause.

"You...you felt that?"

Luckily enough, even though she had lashed out against the door, she hadn't hurt Eric. She might not be so lucky a second time. Suddenly Anne was overwhelmed by fear of her own strength. She wouldn't be able to forgive herself if she hurt him, even accidentally.
