As with before when Drogo killed her brother, Daenerys watched the whole scene. She did not look away as Jorah began mutilating Pycelle. Daenerys watched every last detail, every command she'd issued carried out. Only when Pycelle was knocked unconscious did Daenerys give into the pain and pure sorrow she felt. Finally she felt the blood stop flowing, but the pain was still within her, ebbing and twinging within her womb.

She dismissed Missandei and the servants, and once they were alone and Jorah wrapped his arms around her, Daenerys did the same. Again she buried her face against his neck and just continued to cry.

"The baby...Jorah, it's gone..." she whimpered.
