The fact that he had elected to carry his own cart did not go unnoticed by the Dragon Queen. She smiled to herself, knowing he was honorable enough to do so. Daario took note of the movement as well, and made a point to subtly nudge some large rocks in front of the wheels of the cart in the hopes that it would derail and fall over. Ser Barristan pretended not to notice. Daenerys didn't notice this, or she would have reprimanded him openly for it.

"You told the gatekeepers that you had information about someone plotting an assassination attempt," she stated flatly. "Explain. And explain how is it you have the nerve to show your face here when it was made plain to you that you are no longer welcome in the city of Meereen."
