Rhys and Reina knew better than to protest. They heard what their father heard, they knew something was wrong. As they hurried to their closet, Margaery took Lorys and wrapped her in a special durable blanket, then handed her to Reina.
"You'll mind your sister for Mama, won't you, Reina?" Margaery looked into her oldest daughter's eyes.
"Yes Mama," Reina replied. Rhys held Reina's arm and Margaery knew he would take care of them all.
Margaery made sure they were shut away tight and safe, then went to their chamber for her maids to dress her in an armored dress. When Hannibal strode up to her in his dragon scale armor, Margaery could appreciate his build and strength, but she was so terrified.
"Please don't be gone long," she begged, grasping his hands in hers. Her eyes locked with his as they grew glassy. Truly she feared the Ironborn, and hoped that Hannibal could stop them before they got remotely close to the castle.
Unbeknownst to either of them, Euron Greyjoy was leading a smaller, stealthier band of Ironborn up through the catacombs of King's Landing - he fully intended to retrieve his prize.
